Summer Barbecue at Rushes Lock Sunday 23rd July 2017 Between 12 and 3pm (Weather permitting!) (Rushes Lock is midway between Paper Mill Lock and Hoe Mill Lock). The Chelmer Canal Trust invites you to join a BBQ to be held between 12 and 3pm at Rushes Lock on Sunday 23rd July. You can access Rushes Lock by boat, or, you can walk along the towpath from either Paper Mill Lock or Hoe Mill Lock, and once again this year, we are grateful to Blackwater Boats who are offering special boat trips to get you there from Hoe Mill Lock. There is no charge but it would be best to book your place with Blackwater Boats (Telephone 01206 853282) to avoid disappointment. We can offer the use of a few barbecues but you will need to bring your own provisions. It should be a lovely relaxed, socialising afternoon, possibly with one or two games!
